Terms of Use for My Medical Vault

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the My Medical Vault mobile application (“App”) operated by Masadir Media Co WLL (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using My Medical Vault, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 13 years of age
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Accept our Privacy Policy
  1. Description of Service

My Medical Vault is a mobile application that allows you to:

  • Store and manage personal and family medical records
  • Track medications, allergies, conditions, and appointments
  • Export medical records as PDF reports (Premium feature)
  • Sync data across devices via cloud backup (Premium feature)

The App is designed for personal health record management and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  1. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation
To use certain features, you may need to create an account using:

  • Email and password
  • Sign in with Apple
  • Sign in with Google

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security
You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.3 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Account deletion will:

  • Permanently remove your account and cloud-synced data
  • Not affect data stored locally on your device

4.1 Premium Features
My Medical Vault offers Premium subscription plans that provide access to additional features including:

  • PDF report generation
  • Cloud backup and sync
  • Unlimited family members
  • File attachments
  • Advanced reminders

4.2 Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s account settings

4.3 Free Trial

  • New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the subscription
  • Free trials are limited to one per Apple ID or Google account

4.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly.

  1. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to store information about others without their consent
  • Share your account credentials with others
  1. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: My Medical Vault is NOT a medical device and is NOT intended to:

  • Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
  • Replace professional medical advice
  • Serve as an emergency medical service
  • Provide medical recommendations

Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions. In case of emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

The information stored in the App is user-generated and we make no guarantees about its accuracy or completeness.

  1. Data and Privacy

7.1 Your Data

  • You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App
  • We do not access, use, or share your medical data for any purpose other than providing the service
  • Your data is stored locally on your device by default
  • Cloud backup (Premium feature) stores encrypted data on secure servers

7.2 Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://masadir.me/mymedicalvault/mmv-privacy/

  1. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights
The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Masadir Media Co WLL and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8.3 Your Content
You retain ownership of the medical data and content you enter into the App. By using the App, you grant us permission to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service.

  1. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google) for authentication and cloud storage
  • Apple/Google for in-app purchases and authentication

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF DATA

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The App is free of viruses or harmful components
  1. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MASADIR MEDIA CO WLL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Masadir Media Co WLL and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any content you submit to the App
  1. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We will notify you of material changes through:

  • In-app notification
  • Email (if provided)
  • Updated “Last Updated” date
  1. Termination

14.1 By You
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account through the App settings.

14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse the service

14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • We may delete your cloud-synced data
  • Local data on your device will remain until you delete it
  1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  1. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
  2. If negotiation fails, binding arbitration in the Kingdom of Bahrain

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Masadir Media Co WLL regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
